Exactly as "Odie of Norway" said it above. This article *assumes* that "pan metron ariston (ancient Greek saying for "everything in moderation is best") means "eat whatever, just in moderation". It's not so. What it means for most people today is that you're supposed to eat natural foods, but in small quantities of each. So each meal is consistent by many different kinds of foods. Including a bit of grains, legumes, meat, fruits, veggies, whatever. But they're all supposed to be natural and not industry-processed. Organic is best, but even if something is not organic, it's better than eating junk food anyway.

I think that this article needs revisiting. It's not about eating "whatever in moderation", but "a little bit of everything that's natural".

The "everything in moderation" doesn't actually mean everything though... It focuses on eating all really satisfying, natural and healthy foods. All natural fats and foods are good when eaten in moderation. There is no way you would get me to eat everything the super-marked has to offer (most of it is truly disgusting!), the idea is quality over quantity. Just wanted to comment on the abuse of the mantra, I completely agree that the content of most pre-packaged foods etc. are absolutely abominable.

To think that all these wonderful ingredients are "FDA tested and approved", makes you wonder what they're really up to. Felonious Den of Alchemists.
